My first ever in-verse novel and what a great one to start with. Never before have I read a book that hooked me like this one did. I got in trouble for reading it in class! I skipped lunch to read it! It shows that true love isn't aways what it's cracked up to be. And it shows that you can love more than once in a small amount of time. Sonya Sones is one of the best writers of our generation.

I bought this book at the air port for something to read. I thought it was ok but lacking in substance a little. The charachters weren't really that rememberable and the story line was a little weak. I still plan to read the second book and give the sequal a second chance because i think that this book has a lot of potensial that it just wasnt reaching in the first book.

I absolutley LOVE this book.
I love it so much I read it twice in two days!
One of the things that I really like about it is that there were so many connections I could make with the poetry of the book. It really captures how a teenager would feel if they were in a situation like that. I love it so much. I read it and afterwards it's like "wow. that book is amazing" theres no real way to describe how good it is.

Sophie has had her share of boyfriends but none of them could count as a real relationship. Sophie talks about her life and what she does that her mom doesnt know about. For example wearing the dress her mom wants her to wear, then going to a friend's house and changing. She thinks she has found Mr. Right on an online chat room but internet loves are not what they may appear to be. Finally she seems to have found true love but not in the form that she was expecting. This time she looked past the face and to the heart, maybe that was her problem all along. I liked the poetry format and I think this is a good book for teenage girls.

Sophie, tells the story of her first experiences with love. she talks about her relationships with family, friends, and boys as she struggles to reach adulthood. Sophie moves through her first relationships with the support of her childhood friends Grace and Rachel, who are also experiencing their new loves. When Dylan asks her not to mention that she's Jewish to his prejudiced mother, Sophie is heartbroken. Her relationship with Dylan morphs into a friendship after she meets her second love, Chaz, in a chat room on the Internet. Sophie's cyber love is short lived and gives way to a more meaningful relationship with the unpopular and often bullied Robin Murphy. Is this really who she belongs with?

This inspiring poetry type novel is quite different from the rest. Alot of this novel is based on her liking a boy, but what I enjoyed the most is her relationship with her mom and how they healed. I loved the fact that we expect to fall in love with someone "qualified" and when love smacks us in the face, we don't know what to do. I hate the fact that who we love can also be affected by our friends and family through their views such as racism, beauty, any prejudice. This book defeated that cause.

This is the story of Sophie, who is a typical teenage girl. She is on the path to finding her true love, but it's not as easy as it seems. First there's Lou, who drools, then sexy Dylan, then her "cybersoulmate," Chaz. But then, at the Halloween dance, she finds someone she connects with, but he's masked. She makes it her personal mission to find her masked man. When she does, she is shocked, but not as repelled as she first thinks. This book is told entirely in free verse, and is a quick read, but is very realistic about the power of peer pressure, and very touching.

This is an amazing book that goes by too fast. The man character talks about her life and what she does that her mom doesnt know about. For example wearing the dress her mom wants her to then going to a frieds house and doing a quick change.
This book is a great book in poetry format any girl would love even if you cant relate to all of it.
