In the second installment of Sarah Mlynowski's Whatever After series, siblings Abby and Jonah end up in Cinderella's story. After Cinderella breaks her foot, it is up to Abby and Jonah to figure out a way to fix the story and find a way to get themselves back home.
What I loved: I love the concept of the fractured fairy tale. It is so much fun to read a new take on a traditional story. This one is perfect for young readers. Mlynowski is able to weave two very different worlds together in a way that is both entertaining and streamlined. The characters from both worlds are able to work together and teach each other valuable lessons along the way.
This is a fun and enchanting middle grade series that is sure to be hit with young fairy tale fans.
