What's Hiding Under There? is a cute lift-the-flap book for young children. It is filled with beautiful water color images filled with soft renderings of different animals, insects, and elves.
There are seven different double-page spreads containing at least two flaps that blend in closely with the surrounding areas, making it somewhat challenging to find them.
We are told what some of the creatures are, and some are easy to tell, but with a few we are left to wonder. This is fine for super young children, but I found myself pulling up google so my six year old and I could explore them even further.
This slightly autumnal evening descends into darkness, making for a soothing read for young audiences.
