Looking back, I wonder if I had an inkling that my life was about to go from ordinary to extraordinary.

When sixteen-year-old Lillie Hart meets the gorgeous and mysterious Tom Windsor-Smith for the first time, it’s like fireworks — for her, anyway. Tom looks as if he would be more interested in watching paint dry; as if he is bored by her and by her small Nebraskan town in general.

But as Lillie begins to break down the walls of his seemingly impenetrable exterior, she starts to suspect that he holds the answers to her reoccurring nightmares and to the impossible memories which keep bubbling to the surface of her mind — memories of the two of them, together and in love.

When she at last learns the truth about their connection, Lillie discovers that Tom has been hiding an earth-shattering secret; a secret that is bigger — and much more terrifying and beautiful — than the both of them. She also discovers that once you finally understand that the world is round, there is no way to make it flat again.

An epic and deeply original sci-fi romance, taking inspiration from Albert Einstein’s theories and the world-bending wonder of true love itself.

I NEED A LOVE SPELL CASTER WHO WILL HELP ME BRING BACK MY LOVER 2023 CONTACT +1(419)359 4367 or [email protected]

My Husband broke up with me after 9years of relationship. It started from small misunderstandings after which he told me that it would be good to take a break, which I think turned into a breakup. He no longer looks for me, he blocked my number and people said they saw him with another woman, this brought tears to my eyes because we are about to marry, I searched for help when i came across this spiritual man called PRIEST OSAS who have helped many people having relationship problem, I talked with him about my situation and he describe to me the process to get back with my lover, I followed his instructions and today I'm happy because my man came back after 5 months of breakup and we are happily married now. WHEN THE WORLD WAS FLAT (AND WE WERE IN LOVE) is a breathtaking story about a girl who dreams of death and a boy who wants to save her. The mystery surrounding the two is so clever and interesting, and the whole sci-fi element is outstanding. The author holds on to the secrets throughout the novel and I was blown away the minute that they started to unravel.

I enjoyed the romantic tension between Tom and Lillie, both before and after they discover more about each other. Their story builds to an impressive and exciting finish that I did not see coming. There is a great mix of characters, and the humour is brilliant.

I found it difficult to write this review as I think the blurb keeps a lot concealed and I don’t want to give anything away because that was the enjoyment for me – not knowing and feeling that need to read on and find out.

This book really does stand out on its own and I couldn’t compare it to another book out there, as I often find with Strange Chemistry titles. Very impressed with the quality of books that come from this publisher.

For me, WHEN THE WORLD WAS FLAT (AND WE WERE IN LOVE) is truly different and refreshing and I most definitely urge others to give it a try. It’s gripping, fascinating and achingly beautiful.

Sigh.

I did a lot of sighing during this book.

Sighing for the unrequited love and for the things I saw coming and didn’t really want to happen.

This book got into my head. It burrowed itself deep into my subconscious to where I was dreaming about alternative dimensions. Other realities where I would make an opposite decision in my life and completely change the course of my lifetime. There was even a time at work where one of my coworkers said she should have done one thing instead of the other thing she actually did, and all I was thinking was “well, you definitely did in another dimension.” So yeah, I was affected.

Ultimately, When the World was Flat (And We Were in Love) is unique. The concept of reincarnation has been done before, but this book switches it up and adds a spark of time traveling! (AWESOME!)

Lillie was a great character, although I was once again, sighing, at her utter naiveness. And for a while she did a Bella Swan thing and shut out the rest of the world for lack of a boyfriend.

I loved her friends. I liked her mom even though she was a bit off kilter. I like Jackson.

I loved Tom. Loved. Tom.

And um, Mrs. Jonach is an Australian author, so of course the writing is appealing and delightful.

If you finish a book in one day, on the day when you have a big Iftaar party at your house, it goes without saying that the book is good.

I’m not a big sci-fi fan, but what drew me to this book was the title and the pretty, pretty cover. Needless to say, I was not disappointed at all.

The thing about this book is that it starts a bit late. I was well into 50% of the text when the main plot line manifested. But even then I thoroughly enjoyed the character build up.

My favorite characters:

Deb: Lillie’s mother. Totally hipster-ish, the kind who who wears happy pants and peace beads. I absolutely adored her.

Tom: Hot guy. Broody. Gentleman in an alternate dimension. Need I say more?

Sylv: Lillie’s friend. Equal amounts of spunk and sass. Rebel to the core. Loved her.

On the other hand, Lillie, the protag didn’t really pull me much. She was sort of, I don’t know… bland? She had her fun moments and witty dialogues but I was rooting for a happy ending more for Tom’s sake than hers.

The reason why I loved the book was because it was so different! I’m not a physics kinda person, but I’m all for learning new things and the theories mentioned here will definitely give me a lot of things to read up on. And the random bits of trivia are really interesting too!

The sci-fi melded with the romance was really refreshing. There was a lot of ‘love’ in this book (hint: the title) and for someone like me, that is not a bad thing. Parts of it were really spooky and had me thinking about alternate dimensions of my own life.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes sci-fi, YA and cute, heart-warming romance.
