Whispers at Moonrise is a great addition to the Shadow Falls series. I love Kylie more and more as the books go on as she demonstrates her loyalty and her willingness to sacrifice for her friends.
All though she is headstrong and makes some decisions that I do not quite agree with, I don't know if I would do anything differently if I were actually in her position and it would also not really add action, suspense and drama to the story. It isn't a complaint, just an observation.
Also, I am completely over Lucas in this book. I am sold on Derek and I am not sure if Lucas can do anything to redeem himself in my eyes. Sure they have hot moments, and there is the history, but he keeps treating her like she is beneath him, and while I understand that he is trying to change things, I do not think that Kylie's heart being crushed is worth it.
There is a small cast of new characters, some of whom I didn't know if I should trust, and with all of the secrecy going on there were even some long standing characters that I began to question, although one in particular totally redeemed themself and made me feel horrible for my doubt.
Bottom Line: Gripping addition to my current addictive series.
