What worked: Fun, engaging contemporary romance set during a whiteout in Atlanta, Georgia. All the stories are intertwined and come together in a satisfying conclusion.
Stevie and her girlfriend Sola have a big fight and Stevie tries everything she can to make things right with the help of their friends. Only the weather seems set against them. This relationship is one that I was rooting for! Loved their chemistry and the backstory of how they first met. After a disastrous dinner with Sola's family, she gives Stevie an ultimatum on apologizing. So many obstacles are thrown in the path of Stevie as she attempts to make the 'perfect' I'm Sorry gesture.
The other friends have their own stories that all come together at the end. It's kind of like a number of puzzle pieces that all fit together. Refreshing portrayals of teens of color with a happy conclusion. It's sure to bring a smile to readers' faces!
Great pacing throughout makes this an enjoyable Christmas read.
