Everyone loves a great heart-warming tale. WHO WANTS BROCCOLI by Val Jones is just that.

Broccoli is a fun-loving, energetic mutt who want’s only to find a home and a yard to play in. Growing up in an animal shelter with oodles of other, less energetic—but more adoptable—pet pals hasn’t been easy, but Broccoli knows his day will come. When his playful manner puts him in trouble and he’s hidden away, Broccoli fears he will never find his perfect home.

Who Wants Broccoli is a wonderfully delightful tale about finding your perfect place. No matter how different you seem to be, you’re prefect just the way you are. And someone will love you for just being you. A most valuable lesson and told in a beautifully subtle manner.

Even the pallet of Who Wants Broccoli speaks to the internal lesson. Stunning cool tones drape each page with the exception of Broccoli and his soon-to-be owner, Oscar. Both dog and boy bring a spot of warmth into the pallet.

The writing style and vocabulary is prefect for young readers, and children will love the engaging illustrations that enrich Broccoli’s story. Each page is carefully detailed and brings character to every part of Beezley’s Animal Shelter. Who Wants Broccoli is a must-have story for readers who love dog books, or readers who simply love a happy tale of two forever-friends finding each other.
