Willow the Duckling is an adorable tale that will hold kid's attention with it's imagery, pictures, and theme.
Let's face it - animals win the day when it comes to our kids. Especially animals that are doing very human-like things.
Here we have a kitty cat who is an acting doctor (or vet, I guess since all her patients are animals). She's very professional and even has a mouse nurse named peanut. They're very busy vaccinating the town's animals in preparation for a big show they are putting on. No one can afford to get sick. So when Dr. Kitty Cat and Peanut are called to rehearsal because Willow has collapsed, it's a travesty. And Willow isn't the only one who gets sick. Will the show be in jeopardy? Or can Dr. Kitty Cat save the day and the town come together to get through it?
Perfect for kids around the age of six or seven and up. The story is good, not great, but the images are what make this book. Photographs of cats, dogs, mice, ducks, and other animals have been taken and used to illustrate the story. Human clothing has been drawn onto the pictures and the backgrounds have been drawn as well. It all comes together in a very cool look.
Cute story, genius images, animals galore - Willow the Duckling will be popular with kids.
