I should start by saying I don't normally read books involving politics because I read to escape real life. That being said, I absolutely loved this book. I enjoyed it much more than I anticipated honestly.
Jamie and Maya's friendship was so heartwarming, and it was fun seeing them grow together. The situations they both face are very real. These two authors approached the sensitive subjects well and made it relatable to those who might not see such struggles in their own lives.
Despite usually trying to avoid political fiction, I found myself on edge, waiting to see if their candidate won. It was incredibly difficult to stop reading once I got into the story.
