In her own singularly beautiful style, Newbery Medal winner Sharon Creech intricately weaves together two tales, one funny, one bittersweet, to create a heartwarming, compelling, and utterly moving story of love, loss, and the complexity of human emotion.
Thirteen-year-old Salamanca Tree Hiddle, proud of her country roots and the "Indian-ness in her blood," travels from Ohio to Idaho with her eccentric grandparents. Along the way, she tells them of the story of Phoebe Winterbottom, who received mysterious messages, who met a "potential lunatic," and whose mother disappeared.

As Sal entertains her grandparents with Phoebe's outrageous story, her own story begins to unfold—the story of a thirteen-year-old girl whose only wish is to be reunited with her missing mother.

This is one of the books I would have never read if someone didn't tell me about it, but I was wrong it was probably the best book I have ever read, in fact it is my #1 book of 2013 so far. So to sum it up a girl named Sal is moving away from Kentuckey to Ohio, Sal really didn't want to leave but she and her father left to Ohio. After this she see's her new neihborhood and says somthing about the houses being as small as birdhouses. Once they were settled in Sal's Gram and Gramps take on vacation to go to Iowa where her mother lived, in a series of crazy events including a lunitic, a snake bite, and a couple death's. Will Sal ever see her mother again?, Who will die?, Will Gram and Gramps get a ticket?, and "Are we there yet!?. Find out in his awesome book!

Walk Two Moons is a very spiritual book I read in my 7th grade year. This novel teahcer you that love and hope is ever-exsisiting and ever-lasting both spiritually and symbolicly. When I read the book it started very slow, but as I started realizing that Sal and Phoebe's story began intertwining I truely began getting the message that judgements are not accuarate inless you know who the person is and what they are about. This book is a simple novel that will give anyone one in the dark a breath of hope.

The way this book is written you feel like the author is really talking to you. The main character is Salamanca Tree Hiddle. Her mom has left he without the slightest reason why. Now Sal is traveling across the country, with her grandparents along the route her mom took. While traveling she tells the story of Phoebe Winterbottom, whose neighbor Margaret and Sal's dad befriend each other after the mom's disappearance. This story is of how Sal accepts the fact of her mom leaving and doesn't judge Margaret or anyone else by appearance. "Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins." This is a quote from the book, summarizing the lesson she's learned.

The book is about a 13 year old girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle whose mother left her and her dad. Her Gram and Gramps took her on a trip from Ohio to Idaho.
Sal told them the story of Phoebe Winterbottom. Phoebe found mysterious messages on her porch. Then Pheobes mother left.
On the trip Sals Gram got bit by a snake and had to stay in the hospital. While she was in the hospital, Sal went on a trip and got some big news. To find out what happened, read the book!

And check out this book!

Salamanca is a smart young girl who's world is spinning around her. Her mother left her father and her and now Sal is being dragged along with her father to live in a city. To her that is worse than any nightmare. Sal was used to the country. The trees and the animals.
Sal tells her grandparents about Phoebie, a strange girl Sal befriends, on a car trip to find her mother. What Sal finds is the freedom to live, no longer having to fear death.
Great characters, plot, and suspense. I strongly recommend it to any adventurer! Happy reading!

This book was touching mainly cos of the fact that the main character does not know what happened to her mother. She then goes on a journey to find what happened to her mother and the ending is tragic. You could learn new lessons in this book and you'll have a different perspective in life after you read this book.

This tells the story of Sal and Phoebe. Their stories are strangely similar. Both of the girl's moms have went away and have left their families. Sal's story happened before Phoebe's so Sal knows what Phoebe feels like. Sal and Phoebe try to unearth secrets that might help them understand why Phoebe's mother has left.

I didn't really like this book because it was boring. It just wasn't really exciting. But, the author did have some strong points. The details and descriptions were pretty good.
