Did you enjoy the end of February? There is a very insightful book called "Leap Day" by Wendy Mass that was released in anticipation of this February's special day.

The main character who was born on Leap Year. The book takes place in 24 hours on her 16th - technically her 4th - birthday. Each chapter has two portions: the first part in first person from her point of view, and the second part in third person from every other character's point of view.

This teen novel is very cute and very smart. It shows the reader that what you think about someone else may not be well founded and what you assume to be true is not always so. All in all, well worth the read. I recommend it.

Ahh! This book was totally awesome! I wish every book was like this one. I liked how u got to see EVERY ones point of veiw. Josie is such a good character.

The cover of this book caught my attention, so thats why i picked it up off the shelf. i read what it was about & at 1st it didnt make sense to me. I thought it was about Josie's b-day, & that she could read minds..but i was wayy off. :)

I like the part of the scavenger hunt, that was exciting. and well.

The part about the lake wasnt really fun to read. All this book talked about was how the night at the lake was gonna be awesome, but it really wasnt.

lol. oh wells, i loved this book anyways! u should read it!!!!

This book was definately not one of my favorites. Not a big rising action and no climax at all. I didn't really understand the point of the story. This is not a book I would recommend to others only because, myself being 15 did not even get drawn in so how are younger readers or even older readers suppost to enjoy it?

This book keeps you hooked. The main character is Josie and she is born on Feb. 29, a leap day. The whole bovel takes place in one day: her birthday. Each chapter is broken up into 2 parts: Josie's view and then what is happenin to all the people around her. Its so interesting and cool to get into the minds and thoughts of not just Josie, but everyone else in her life or who is around her. You find out that they have thoughts you would never expect and are much like you. It really gives you insight to the world around you and how people affect each other without even knowing it. This novel shows the realities of teenage life and gives glimpses of adult dreams and expectations. It's a great book and I just couldn't put it down. you'll love it, promise!
