Valerie is back. This time she is back in her home, to visit her mother. She and her mother have had some problems every since she found out that she was gay. This is what the center is about, but also about some problems in her relationship with the prince(not even going to try and spell the name),they sorta kinda broke up and so when she sees her old sorta boyfriend she decided maybe they should try to get together. Problems insue, and Val deals with it with her usual charm.
I love this book like i loved the first one. It was good, and left me wanting more of Val. These book are hilarious, and i can't stop reading this.

Valerie Winslow is living a great life. I mean, how greater can it get than great if you're dating the prince of another country? It's like the dream of so many other girls. And it's Valerie's reality. Until Georg (the acclaimed prince) states that maybe they need to cool things. Worse off now, her father ships her back to Virginia at the worst time. OR really? Cause in Virginia, she meets up with an old time crush, David. Can David measure up?

I really liked the Royally Jacked, and while this book wasn't nearly as good, it was still okay enough. A nice sequel to the other.

The sequel was okay, not as good as the first. Her mother's situation is played out in more detail and she does some bonding with her friends and spends some time with her longtime crush, David. She finds out that she loves Georg more, being the fact that he's a prince and really seems to pay attention to her--unlike David. She then goes back to Schwerinborg and all is well in the press world. Not very exciting. It's over pretty quick. If you want to read it fine, but don't expect anything from it.

Niki Burnham is now one of my favorite authors. She captured me with "Royally Jacked" and stole my heart with "Spin Control".

These books are just completely awesome! If you are into teen comedic romances, than you should totally be reading these books.

"Spin Control" picks up right were "Royally Jacked". In this one the main character Valerie has to go back to the States, after living in a German palace for a month, because of a little media problem shes having with her new bf. But home doesnt get any better. There are several issues she has to face with her friends and her mom, who just came out the closet. Going home also makes her have to decided who she wants to be with: David, the guy shes been crushing on forever who is FINALLY starting to notice her or Georg, her prince who really gets her and doesnt judge about the whole gay mom thing.

Though its probably true that a prince doesnt fall in love with an ordinary girl, all the time, its concept and meaning are completely heart felt and relatible. You'll love every part of it!

tHIS IS A GOOD COMPANION TO ROYALLY JACKED. I loved how an average girl seizes the love and attention a a prince and it really is about not judging a book by its cover cuz you never know when love will show up. I loved it.

Valerie is completely in love with her boyfriend and thinks that nothing could go wrong, until it does. During a party, they were seen sneaking into a bathroom and rumors started flying. Georg tells her that they should cool it and Val is sent off to Virginia to visit her mother.

Valerie is still mad at her mother for leaving her dad for Gabby. Though she has to deal with her mothers new relationship, which she doesnt want to deal with, she has the opportunity that she has been waiting for forever-a date with her longtime crush, David. She has a great time with David. But soon she finds herself in a dilemma, deciding which guy is right for her.

After reading Royally Jacked, I was expecting Spin Control to be another fluffy but enjoyable girly reads. But Spin Control took me off guard because it brought up a lot of serious issues. Val had to deal with her mother being a lesbian and how there are people who are against it. This book really opens your eyes to important issues while offering a dose of entertainment. The only reason I wouldnt like this book is because there werent enough parts with Val and Georg. I would definitely recommend this book.
