No one ever paid attention to the faces of missing children on milk cartons. But as Janie  Johnson glanced at the face of the little girl who had been taken twelve years ago, she recognized that little girl--it was herself.

The mystery of the kidnapping is unraveled, but the nightmare is not over. The Spring family wants justice, but who is to blame? It's difficult to figure out what's best for everyone.

Janie Johnson or Janie Spring? There's enough love for everyone, but how can the two separate families live happily ever after?

Ugh. I wish I had only read the first in this series.

Whatever Happened to Janie had a good idea and a good plotline...however, the characters were boring, shallow and immature. Each pair of parents acted overly dramatic and the Springs were the most immature of all. The insisted on calling their daughter Jennie instead of Janie and couldn't see why she loved and felt more comfortable with her old family. I feel like if this had happened in real life, the parents would have been more understanding and less eccentric. Personally this book itself seemed entirely impossible and not nearly as believeable as the debut. Overrall, this book was just a dissappointment.

janie thought it would be simple to call her real mom and say "hey its jennie! i am alive". she never expected to have to move their and be a family with them instead of her parents that raised her. she cant bear the thought of calling anyone else mom and dad. not only that, she has sibblings! for 12yrs she thought she was an only child. yet she cant decide who shes going to be. janie johnson to jennie spring?

This book was extraordinary as I stated before. I loved all the excitment. Also I can relate to almost everything in the book if I was in that situation! This book makes me want to continue reading the other books in this series!
