Stacey Brown and five of her closest friends are vacationing on the beach before they all head off to college. They rent a cottage together, and everything is going great until Stacey starts to get nightmares accompanied by severe nosebleeds. Shes convinced that her body is trying to tell her something, and she vows to save the next possible victim, a girl named Clara. Unfortunately, her friends arent completely behind this because Clara keeps going after their close guy friends and boyfriends. And it doesnt help that Staceys boyfriend Jacob is acting distant.

While I love Blue is for Nightmares, I was a little disappointed by this third book in the series. Staceys character was just so frustrating to me sometimes; I was able to piece together the clues faster than she was. This of course led to terrible consequences and a tragic ending that I didnt foresee. I nearly cried at the end of the book; thats how sad it was.

Of course, if you loved the first two books in the series, I recommend you read this book as it was still a great read.

This is the third book dealing with Stacey and her premonition dreams.
The story pics up on the summer after Stacey's high school graduation. Fearing that it will be the last time that the friends are going to be together, they rent a cottage at the beach to relax. But this proves to be impossible when her nightmares return, this time accompanied by annoying nosebleeds (1st book she peed on her bed and second book she would throw up after each dream)and a dreadful feeling that danger is lurking. She dreams about yet another girl dying but this time she does not know who it is.
She then meets Clara and immedeately knows that its her she's been dreaming about. she then makes it her mission to help Clara out but fun and liberal Clara will not listen. To top it all off, Jacob is acting wierd. He seems very distand and will not go anywhere near the water. Is it because Stacey cant bring herself to tell him she loves him? (she does) Will Stacey once again, solve the mystery before it's too late? Read and find out.

Stacey Brown and her friends are back in the third installment of Laurie Faria Stolarz's BLUE IS FOR NIGHTMARES series. It's the summer after they've graduated from high school, and the friends have rented a beachside cottage. Stacey is looking forward to swimming, tanning, having fun with her friends, and spending time with her boyfriend and soulmate Jacob--in other words, she wants to be a completely normal teenager for once.

But the nightmares return. This time, they're about one of their beachside neighbors, a irrepressible flirt named Clara with a fetish for taken men. Needless to say, Amber and Drea aren't too fond of her when she starts cuddling up to PJ and Chad, but Stacey knows that she can't just tell Clara to get lost, even if she IS annoying. Because Clara's life is on the line. And it seems that Stacey is the only one who can help her.

But there are other problems too. For reasons she doesn't know, Jacob is not telling her something. He's been having nightmares too, but he's not sharing them because he doesn't want Stacey to get even more stressed out. These secrets make it hard for the couple to get close together, and with all of these stressful things on her mind, Stacey has no clue that something even worse than her worst nightmare is going to happen... and that she will never be the same after.

Stolarz's writing gets better with each installment in this series. It seems like the secondary characters are more real than the protagonist herself. Amber and PJ provide much-appreciated humor, and I found myself gritting my teeth in every scene that Clara was in, she was just that annoying. It's a wonderful idea for a series, but sometimes it's just hard to feel close to the characters, or to believe that it could happen.

I hate Clara! I wanted to kill her for what she was doing to the group. If I was Stacy I wouldn't have even tried to help her. And when she was hard core making out with chad when drea walked in! i felt so bad for Drea. And again in this book i feel Amber and PJ should just hook up and be done with it! Then when Jacob fell, I almost cried myself. I couldnt imagine how stacy felt. I wouldnt want to.

This was the first that I read in the series, but now I must read the others. I started crying at the end-why did that character have to go and frickin die? That's what I want to know. Actually, I don't believe that character died. (I'm not using he or she)They will come back. Hopefully. :(
