In the title story, madness awaits inside a statue created by an insane dying artist. In Lunch at Etiennes, a brief, chilling tale of nuclear winter, a woman continues her weekly luncheon dates until she realizes shes the only diner speaking. In The Flat-Brimmed Hat, a teenage girls attempted suicide is thwarted by a visit from her older, wiser, happier self.

This book is supposed to have "Tales of the Unnatural"; at least that's what it says on the cover. Personally, I was unimpressed with the unnatural tales. They were boring and it was a drag to read through them. I'm not saying all of them were awful or anything, but they had too many unnecessary details which made the stories become boring quick. You shouldn't waste your time with this book.
