Ariana Osgood has everything an Easton Academy girl could want: straight A's, the perfect boyfriend, and a coveted spot in exclusive Billings House. But on the first night of Christmas vacation, a blizzard traps her on campus with irresistible bad-boy Thomas Pearson. Alone. Instead of snuggling with her boyfriend next to a cozy fire in Vermont, she's huddling for warmth with Thomas in Ketlar House.

As the snow transforms Easton into a winter wonderland, Ariana finds herself falling for Thomas. But someone is watching their clandestine romance unfold, someone intent on turning their holiday weekend into a nightmare...

Last Christmas reveals the secret of what really happened before Private began -- and the shocking truth will change everything for fans of Kate Brian's bestselling series.

Last Christmas is the prequel to the private series and takes place before Reed came to Easton and before Noelle was Queen Bee and is in Ariana's point of view. It is about how the whole thing between Ariana and Thomas started. I loved this book or many reasons:
1. because Thomas is in it a lot and I always lobed him, he sounds really good looking
2. I liked hearing the reasons for all of Ariana's craziness
3. And I lved how after I read this book the whole series became more clear.
Awesome book. It kept me riveted during the whole book.

This truly was an amazing book! i started off and couldn't stop. I felt the pain for the charcters and the emotion this book captured was breath- taking. I must say, for younger teens this would not be the best book to read but for older teens this book is a page turner. In some parts I completely disagree with the actions taken by Ariana, but reading this book left me hungry. I probably shouldn't have started with the prequel but that was my mistake.I now crave to read the rest of the series and I fully compliment Kate Brian on this book! Job well done1

Last Christmas is the prequel to the Private series by Kate Brian and it is the story of Ariana Osgood. It was very shocking to get inside the mind of a cold-blooded killer. This story tells so much about Ariana but still leaves you guessing as to her family background and why she might be who she has become. I never could have imagined all that Ariana did just to be with Thomas. I can't wait to read the first book in Kate Brian's new series Privilege, which is all about Ariana after being institutionalized. Great book, definitely recommend it!

This was the prequel to the Private series, by Kate Brian. This one was called Last Christmas, and as I read it, I realized why I liked it so much better than the other Private books: it doesn't center around Reed Brennan! In fact, she isn't even at Easton when this novel is taking place, and I absolutely loved it. Reed annoys me so much.

Anyway, I thought that it was a great book. I would definitely recommend it. It focuses on Ariana Osgood, and really gives insight into her character in the Private series. It's not too fast paced, and it's really interesting to learn more about Ariana. I can't help but hope that Kate Brian comes out with another prequel like this; Noelle, perhaps?
