Nina, a prosecutor for child molesters, realizes her son, Nathaniel, has been sexually abused. Nathaniel is traumatized by the abuse and their family is torn apart. While trying to defend her son, Nina ignites a battle that may cause her to loose everything she is fighting for.
I really enjoyed this book. I would give it five out of a scale of one to five. I love how Jody Picoult uses techniques to keep a person wondering what will happen next. This story has one surprise after another. Picoult sets a person up to believe one person is the cultrate, but then introduces one that seems to fit better. I definitely recommend this book to someone who is looking for an easy, interesting read.
I believe any gender fourteen and up would enjoy this book. If a person loves surprises and suspense, this book is for them. She ties emotion into the book which engages the reader even more. Jodi Picoult is a very talented writer.
