A Bed of Stars, down to it's simplest terms, is a lovely children's book about getting close to nature and finding peace.

I love the illustrations. The watercolor really helps drive home the meaning behind the story, as well as puts a shine on the desert scenes.

The plot of the story is magnificent. A child cannot fall asleep, as the universe is just too big, so dad takes the child out to camp under the stars. The story really focuses on the bond between father and child, as well as their open ended adventure.
