Let’s start by saying; I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I’m also a pretty big LEGO nerd. LEGO Star Wars: A New Hope by Ace Landers brings both of these loves together in a graphic novel style book. It takes you on Luke Skywalker’s journey as he discovers his destiny. But with a slight twist—goofy humor.

That’s right. LEGO Star Wars: A New Hope is cover to cover tongue in cheek humor that will keep any young reader entertained. There’s no need to be familiar with the original story, as this book will teach your young padawan the true power of the force. But if your young reader is already a fan, no worries. This book is sure to get giggles from them as well.

The illustrations by David White are vivid and crisp, and the text includes an easy to read narrative and well as speech bubbles traditionally found in comics.

My young reader absolutely loved LEGO Star Wars: A New Hope. He’s a big fan of both LEGO and Star Wars, and we read this book together many times in a row. From seasoned fans to younglings already strong in the force, readers will adore this fantastically silly book about a Tatooine farm boy becoming a hero.
