Have you ever felt like the cheerleader always had it all, she was beautiful, smart and got any guy she wanted?  Well this story will prove that theory wrong.  This is about cheerleader Samantha who bombs her SAT's, then decides to run for class president so she could have something worthy on her college application, all while trying to snag a prom date!

I love how Janette Rallison can bring the reader to right in to the story so you actually feel like you're back in high school all over again.  I never cared for high school that much and this story just reminded me of that! I hated the way Samantha and her friends talked badly about everybody but I loved how Rallison used this story to draw attention to bullying and by giving us an ending to love! She has a gift for writing clean, fun, and inspirational books for teens but there are just so good that an adult like me can really enjoy them.  I love to read her books to cheer me up and give me a laugh.

this book is SUPER funny, and I loved all the characters-> I fell in love with Logan just by reading the back of the book, Samantha is a show-off and make fun-of kind of girl, but that all stopped when Logan tells her: I bet you cant not make fun of anyone for a whole 3 weeks, and she takes the bet, the bet ends up being a main part in the book and Logan makes sure to keep track of her, Samantha also is trying to become class president, and it can be hard not to make fun of  her opponents for Sam, she has alot of strange things that happen and then a whole bunch of good things ( but you can read it to find them out). This book is a definate read!!!!!

Samantha Taylor is head cheerleader, has a great boyfriend, and a
wonderful social life. When she bombs the SAT's, and gets dumped by her
boyfriend, she decides to change a few things in her life. She runs for
class president. With the help of her friends, they make posters, and
start her campaign, however, Samantha has a bet going on with her
classmate and co-worker Logan. He challenges her to get through 2 weeks
without insulting anyone, and he will help her campaign. Little does
Samantha know, it will be harder than she expects....
This is my
third Janette Rallison book I have read. Again, it was a cute, clean,
fun story of high school life, and had a fun main character as well. As
always, there was humor, and a fun romance mixed in. I did like her
other books "It's a Mall World After All", and "My Fair Godmother"
better. Still, a fun, light read. Janette Rallison is a great author,
and I love how I don't have to worry about any "surprises" in her
books. They are all decent and very clean.

After failing her Sat's, Samantha decides to better her self, and join the world politics. She holds a bet with an old boyfriend that she can be nice throughout the running. This is incredibly hard for Sam. During her journey she learns a lot about herself, and the people around her. And that looks are not everything.
You have heard this description before many of times, and this is no different from the 20 other books of its kind. There are some fun moments and some laugh out loud moments, but nothing really special.

This is a very good book. Though I wish High School was really like this, I could definitely picture what was going on in the story. So the girl in the story, Samantha, isn't all that smart (she bombed the SAT). So she decides to do things that will help her succeed.
Not to give away what happens, but she runs for president. Her friends support her, including a certain boy (who will remaain unnamed from me). She makes a bet in which keeps the story going. But as fairytales always go, it ends up a happily ever after.

Don't you wish life was actually that way?

This book in my opinion is for anybody with a sensitive side . It is aslo for the type of people who like reading about the "POPULARS" and enjoy learning about these (fictional) lives.I enjoyed this book and I have read it three times, but I feel like I could read it a thousand times more. I Am not the type who like reading , but this book is so enjoyable the it caught me attention so quikly I feel like it could be a book for all .

Samantha is a high school cheerleader with a very low SAT score. She decides to run for student body president after hearing that colleges look for leadership on applications. Samantha faces the typical teenage drama-breaking up with a boyfriend, losing her date to prom, and liking a boy who likes someone else. She makes a bet with Logan who thinks that she won't be able to insult anyone for two weeks. Through the bet with Logan, she learns a lot about herself and the what the people around her think of her.

This is a really cute story, but not something that really impressed me. It reminded me of most of the "teenage" movies (She's all That, etc) and had a very predictable ending. Fun and easy to read.

this is such a wonderful book! i read this in english class earlier this year and i fell in love with the book right away! i'm soooooo glad janette rallison wrote this book! all my thanks goes to her. i love this book so much, i even put the book on my christmas list this year. the part i liked the most was when samantha goes on a date with that boy (i forgot his name) but they have to bring her cat to the vet. i laughed so much when the cat was making those funny sounds in that guy's car. i dont really have a part of the book that i really dislike! i just love it so much! i also like the part when samantha goes to the prom when her and her ex are dancing together. i thought that was soooo romantic! anyway, this is one of the greatest books ive ever read. definitely 2 thumbs up!

This book is certainly a good book,it shows to give people a second chance (like the surprising ending when she and Logan become more than just friends), but it's not the best work i've seen from Janette Rallison. She is one of my most favorite authors, she writes books that relate to the hard teenage years that all girls go through, either if it's about friendship feuds over crushes (i.e.: Life, Love and the Pursuit of Free Throws) or dreams of stardom (i.e.: Fame,Glory and other things in my to-do list), but I don't really think this book is superb.
