ANIMAL BABIES is one part science book and one part pop-up book, which makes it irresistible for any child. Even adults will find themselves flipping through the pages, learning a thing or two.
The author explores how some animals are born, how they communicate with sound and body language, how they clean themselves, how they play, and more. Kids will get to feel a snake's smooth scales and and elephant's hide. With the pop-up features, kids can make a dolphin leap from the water, and even make a squid squirt ink!
My favorite features are the life span tree (which compares a human's life span with that of other animals), and the life-size poster that comes with the book. Kids can hang the poster on their wall and compare their size with a baby giraffe, elephant, and more.
Also, the best feature? The book is a hardback binder, so it's sturdy enough to stand the test of time.
What a great reference for your budding zoologist!
