oh, come off it. I can't believe anyone out there actually takes this book seriously. No teenager writes like this. Oh, except, wait...the girl from Go Ask Alice. Could it be that both books are fakes written as propaganda by some Christian group? I think they might be...
Seriously, read Go Ask Alice. It's like they're written by the same person (who, by the way, is a TERRIBLE writer who obviously knows nothing about teenagers, drugs, or sex).

This was a really good book and it was very powerful and strong with the story line. Even though you didn't go what Annie went through you think that you can relate her. The ending was sad so I say keep a tissue handy.

AS a teacher, I have given this book to some of my 8th grade girls to read. Written in diary format, it is easily read and enjoyed by some or the more challenged readers. However, the more skilled readers also enjoy the somewhat mature, timely theme. The topic of premarital sex and teenage parent hood is handled in a non-preachy format. The girls who read it wrote that a girl with any pride or self esteem would never let themselves be used or manipulated sexually the way Annie is in the book. The protagonist also has a wonderfully supportive mother that sticks by her through the ordeal of bearing and attempting to raise a baby. An interesting and excellent read!
