This book teaches that even the most prepared plans can go wrong. Artemis Fowl is a 12-year old KID and he has a higher intellect than a fully grown adult. He is portrayed to the Fairies as cold and ruthless, but in reality, is merely trying to fulfill his family's goal as though he were the head of the house. This book is an entertaining, non-stop adventure, from a time-field, to a tunneling dwarf, to a huge lumbering troll, to a radioactive bio-bomb.

Wow, how to review Artemis Fowl. The best book ever. I read all of the books in the series. The characters are great. The plot is excellent, and the whole story is simply amazing. I am one of those readers who is picky about what I read, but man this was well WOW!

I love Artemis Fowl man. He's the epitome of cool. I knida wanna be like him. He's smart and won't take anything from anyone. He possesses a dogged determination. He did things that no one has ever done, translaing the book, escaping the time stop and evaing the blue rinse. I especially like the ending. It shows that he's not a complete monster and that he's human.

Artemis kind of reminds me of an bad Richie Rich. He's not evil, but he is definitly not the good guy, he's more of the super vilain type. When he goes up against the fairies (we're not thinking Tinkerbell) anything and everything can happen.
I like how different these books are. In an area where Harry Potter and Series of Unfortunate Events clones are popping out all over, I find these books a breath of fresh air. If you're looking for a book for a male reluctent reader, these are a good bet.

Artemis Fowl is a certified genius who uses his brain for somewhat less than savoury things. At only 12, Artemis is the first human to discover the secret world that lives right below our feet, the world of Faerie. His evil plans come to a head when he kidnaps an LEP officer, Holly Short.

An intelligent and fast-paced book sutable for all ages!

This book is really good. It is about a rich genius kid who sets out to find fairies. He kidnaps one and holds her for ransom. But what he gets is troll trouble among other things. Very Good.

I would recommend this series to anyone. I think it is interesting enough to attract anyone who attempts to it. I am still not done reading the eternity code , but it just keeps getting better and better.

After reading this book in one sitting, I think I've finally discovered my true reading level. I may not be that young, but as I've been told repeatedly that I've yet to grow up, I think I can easily qualify as a "young" adult reader.

This is a book that I had a lot of fun reading. I even busted the code (believe me - not a hard task) and started deciphering the code at the bottom of each page. I'm sitting here with a soft pencil, decoding like a cub scout with a secret decoder ring.

Eoin Colfer is a genius, with a vivid imagination and a wonderfully wicked sense of humor. He has produced a well thought out novel, nicely bound and presented, somehow combining a brilliant 12 year old millionaire criminal mastermind, a loyal butler named Butler who just happens to be a killing machine, a dwarf with a mighty forceful tunneling action, a techie wise-cracking centaur who can give Ian Fleming's "Q" a run for his money, a tough military-type girl scout fairy and her old fashioned boss, a havoc wrecking troll, and a support cast of dozens.

It's got magic, intrigue, deception, kidnapping, blackmail, computers, weapons, code-breaking, violence, and projectile flatulence and can't be faulted for the sheer brilliance of the scheming.

As soon as I finish my decoding, I'm off to book 2, "The Arctic Incident". Your kids will love this one, and so will you.

This book was great. I made many of my fairy tale dreams realistic. Aretmis was the greatest character to put up against the fairy underworld. With his smarts, money, and child like mind, it kind of made him invincable. The way they mixed all of the different fairy things together, the pixies, the trolls, and their weapons, all of it was just perfect to me.
