What is at the same time visa-slash-master card-slash-master card platinium? "Bad Kitty", of course! And who is totally beef and filet mignon? Its author, Michele Jaffe, bien sur!

Jasmine Callihan is spending the end of summer in the Venitian Hotel in Las Vegas with her father, stepmother and, err, the Evil Hench Twins (her cousin Alyson and her Evil twin, Veronique)(in case you ask they're not real twins)(read the story and you'll see why they're called like that)(Anyway.)

The challenge for her is to spend the whole day without getting into trouble. Easy? Ha! You don't know Jasmine! And if Jasmine quietly stays lying near the pool (looking at the cute guy at the Snack Hut), the trouble will come himself, and she'll find herself in the center of an exciting (and dangerous!) Las Vegas mystery!

Fortunately, she can have help from her best friends, Polly, Tom and Roxy. So, what's going to happen? Hey, well...wait, the phone is ringing, one sec, please. "Michele? That's you? Yay! How was the shopping? And the Tacos Fiesta in the Venitian? That's totally Visa! What? About the book? Aw, really? Okay, airkisses."

Okay, it was Michele, and it appears I can't say anything about what will happen next...sigh.

But I can still tell that this book is on the top of my "Totally Visa Teen Novels Ever"! All you can ever wish is there: mystery, fashion, romance, real friendship (real murderers too), cowboy boots, beDazzlers, pink groovy vans and of course, a really messy cat.

Do I need to say it's hilarous?

I loved spending time with Jas and her friends and you'll sure to have a great laugh at each page!

A book you just CAN'T miss!

Jas wants to spend her Las Vegas family vacation as a Model Daughter. Which means trying to distance herself from the trouble that usually attaches itself to this detective-wannabe. But after being practically mauled by a mean cat belonging to a young boy named Fred, Jas finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery. Who is after Fiona, Fred's actress mother? Could it be her husband, Red, who was blamed for murdering her lover and then disappeared after escaping from custody? And who is this extremely cute boy Jack, anyway? Why is he warning Jas to stay out of the Fiona and Fred's business?

Fans of Meg Cabot's works will surely be delighted with this cute mystery story. Jas's friends are hilarious, and I have hardly ever seen a better usage of footnotes than in this book. Read it while the summer's still hot!

Jasmine is trying to enjoy her family vacation in Las Vegas. All this would require would be avoiding her cousin, Alyson, and her friend, Veronique, prove to her dad that she is indeed a Model Daughter, and, oh yeah, meet the hot guy she spotted across the pool. Then all of a sudden, Jas is thrust into the middle of a Las Vegas mystery. Luckily, she enjoys amateur sleuthing, and her friends come into town to help her find a murderer, save a little boy and a woman, and maybe themselves, in an experience that is so totally Mastercard (priceless). And just for the record, it's all the cat's fault. Michele Jaffe's debut novel for young adults will not disappoint fans of Meg Cabot and Louise Rennison. Humor, intrigue, and a hot guy: what more could a reader want?
