Big Little Baby combines lyrical language, soft illustrations, and the complexities of a growing older baby that is sure to hit just the right nostalgic note for parents. This book is filled with love and explores how the baby is bigger in some ways, but still dependent on their caretakers. I read this with a toddler just before naptime, and it hit just the right notes of a lullaby and calm tone to feel her body relax and prepare for sleep. In many ways, the content is more for the parents who celebrate the bigness of their child, but are happy for them to be a baby.
