The Bridge to Terebithia is a story of friendship, imagination, and life. It is about two different characters, one from a rich, educated family, while the other is from a poor family, who come together to create their own little world. They have their own adventures and experience life in a whole different ways.

This is an amazing book, but it did not reach the full five stars, because at times, the story was a bit dull. Also, the story is set in an era where it's hard to connect to the characters. Otherwise, it is an amazing work.

I loved this book. But then, right as it was all going good they go and kill a main character to the plot. MY FAVORITE PERSON!!! So... the book sucks. While it ends on a happier note they still killed Leslie! I think the author was just tired of writing the story and wanted something dramatic to happen. So she killed her. I will never read this book again.

I was very upset with this book. When my son read this book for school, he came home crying. They made him read it in the 3rd grade. I dont know if my dislike was from that and i just wasnt able to enjoy this book or wather it was a not so good book.

Jesse Aarons just wants to be the fastest kid in the fifth grade-- and maybe make his father proud by doing so-- but his dream is dashed on the first day of school when he and all the other boys are beaten by new girl Leslie Burke. Jess and Leslie form an unlikely friendship, and the sesitive artist boy and the tomboy rich girl create a fantasy land called Terebithia, which they rule as king and queen. Yet even in Terebithia, the world is not perfect...and even when things are not perfect, Leslie can teach Jess a lot about himself.

This was an enjoyably refreshing story about a boy-girl friendship, with a similarly refreshing protagonist in Jess, a sensitive kid who longs to be the son he thinks his father wants. The relationship between Jess and his dad is just as interesting as the one between Jess and Leslie.

I will admit that this review may be tinged by the fact that I knew about and was prepared for the ending before I read the book. Younger readers who don't know what's going to happen may find it upsetting-- but it's still worth reading.

This book is full of dreams, fantasy, and fleeting imagination. It's a romantic story with an appreciation for nature. While not one of my favorites, it's a quick read and certainly worth while for kids who love to make believe.

This book starts off with sexism and ends with a funeral.

Although this is sad book it's worth the read. The plot is set in rural america in the 90's-I think-and is very interesting.

I found it a good book and would reccomend it as a book to read in the holiday's for a quick read.

I read this book a long time ago and it was very, very boring and stupid. The story was about a boy named Jessie and a girl named Leslie. Leslie is the new girl in town and odd to normal people's eyes. Jessie is dazed that she doesn't own a television set. But, the two become good friends and build a little land in the woods by the river. I believe that they build a treehouse or shed or something. Being bored out of my mind and hating this novel with a passion, I decided to imagine it as a doghouse that has one of those little "FIDO" signs on it. Anyway, if I remember correctly, Jessie has a crush on his teacher and goes to a museum with her, leaving Leslie alone in the Terebithia land (they built). She drowns in the river.

Bridge to Terebithia is the most horrifically boring book I've ever read. I hope everyone reading this must restrain from the pain of reading it in school. How could Bridge to Terebithia win one of the Newberies? I don't think it was deserved.

I didn't like this book because of the stupid things that the kids did. Jessie liked the teacher. The land of Terebithia...Drowning in the river....Please don't make me stand this!
