At first I didn't get this book. When i read the first couple pages i had no idea what i was reading. I did not hear of this book from friends or family, my dad just came home and gave it to me. He said "i got it for free". So i sat down and read it.

Genesis Bell has a crazy life!! You need to read the book to get what I'm talking about. This would be a good present for a teenage girl, for those aunts that are not sure what to get their
niece. I'm 15 and i loved it.

The book is complete. It has a beginning a middle and end. In every part Genesis faces new challenges. With boys, friends, her family and her families boys! Its not a dumb book either!! It really does have real life things in here. And i gives a view of the outsider. Genesis also finds her calling for her future job.

I liked it alot! I only like books that can keep me reading and i read this book in two days! READ IT!!

I liked this book, and i thought that the characters were very interesting. Shay and Angela were great and I thought Nick was very close to a couple real guys I know. But i also thought that it was a very forgettable book. If you are a person like me, who reads a new book every couple of days, this one will just fall into the background, and when you think about book that you loved, in a couple of weeks, this wont even cross your mind.

Ok, this book is an awesome book! Can you believe her family? Or friends?

Well, i deff. don't like boyfriend stealers, but Gen, well she isn't one. They came to her! Ha.ha.ha. And then, her friends don't believe her?? What friends!

You want the end? Read it yourself!

This book was not what I expected at all. For one, I thought the main character, Genesis, would have been a meaner, more manipulative person. I wasn't expecting the situations where she ended up boyfriend stealing to pan out the way they did-where they just happened without her plotting it out. In a way, it was more realistic to have it happen that way, but she was also so passive in some instances that it made her look like a bad friend for not putting the breaks on sooner.

I thought the mother in the book was well-written, but that Genesis was a little harsh and judgemental of her. Yes, she's not the most moral person, but you could almost see how circumstances made her mother into the woman she is, so Genesis's unforgiving tone was a little cruel. The sister was my least favorite character and the end of the book (without giving it away it involved the mother and sister) left a bad taste in my mouth.

Overall, it's an interesting look at dysfunctional families and the shaky bonds of friendships and relationships.

Confessions Of A Boyfriend Stealer is the online diary of Genesis Bell, sixteen and half year-old ex-best friend to CJ Thompson and Tasha Dombrowski and aspiring television producer. Normally known as one of The Terribles, when caught 'stealing' her best friend's boyfriends, things change. No longer a Terrible, Genesis sets about setting the record straight, in the form of an online blog. Genesis, the more reserved, less fiery and in-your-face friend of the three, was always the one how kept things in control; she kept secrets, mended broken hearts (the hearts of the boys her friends so heartlessly dumped, not her friends who didn't need or want any sympathy) and was the nice one. In this book she learns more about herself and comes several steps closer to her dream of producing documentries and reality shows; when she films the party of the year.

This book, although aimed for an older audience; the scenes being a little unsuitable for anyone under 13, is likely to entertain the younger more. The plot is very ambitous and hard to believe at times, while the writing can be patching is some places and the characters pretty shallow; never the less this book was enjoyable and easy to read into spare moment. While the book screams of a sequal (the blog of Genesis's ex best friend CJ, which is mentioned on the first page), I believe that when the time comes I will read it. If you feel like an easy read, something that isn't serious and won't have you pondering about the meaning of life, then this is the book for you - sweet, spunky, you can not help cheering Genesis on, nor cringing at her stupidity at times.

Written in the form of a blog, Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer follows the story of Genesis. Bad luck with men seems to run in her family, as her sister and mother don't seem to have the best relationships. Her best friends, CJ and Tasha, aren't the best girlfriends. So what's a girl to do when their boyfriends come to her for advice. When things go a little further than planned, everything starts to fall apart for Genesis.

I thought that Confessions of a Boyfriend Stealer was an ok book. I thought the idea of a blog was creative, and I'm glad the whole book wasn't in that form. This book is for younger readers, so that may be why I didn't like it that much. Overall, this was a fun and easy read.
