Despite being a bestseller, this book in the Twilight series wasn't exactly the greatest in the saga. When Bella is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob, she gets a little annoying and treats Jacob as well as her own father with disrespect. I feel kind of sorry for Jake, who has always loved her although she ends up being rude to him. I just wish she wouldn't be so mean and clingy to Edward because her father says she hardly sees her other friends.

Edward and Bella are fighting against outer forces again in this book. This book centers mostly around Bella/Edward/Jacob with little side-stories about Rosalie and Jasper - how they became vampires, how their stories define who/what they are now. There are many killings in Seattle, the Cullens are trying to find a solution, Bella is worried about Victoria seeking revenge, the Voltori coming back to make sure she has been changed, and Jacob her best friend, the werewolf. Jacob and Bella's relationship in this book frustrated me and maybe it was supposed to. Edward is jealous of it because Jacob wants more and during some points in the book forces more in stomach churning scenes. He is like a pouty baby when he doesn't get his way. I really enjoyed the like/hate/comraderie that Edward and Jake share throughout the book. They get some good zingers on eachother. However, I hate that even a little part of Bella is so focused on Jake that she takes what she has for granted. Edward never falters, accepts what Bella wants, while Jake forces Bella to do things he wants. She ultimately has to choose between Edward and Jacob. There is no choice really to make, since Bella knows she wants Edward and his family. In the end, Edward, the rest of the Cullens and the werewolf pack keep Bella safe and now we are on to the next book. This book was not my favorite of the series, but it was still a book I couldn't put down. I hope Breaking Dawn lives up to my expectations.

ECLIPSE is the third book in the Twilight series.
In this book Edward is back, and with Vicoria and The Volturi after her, Bella is more determined than ever to become a vampire.

I definitely thought that ECLIPSE was better than NEW MOON. There was more action, and it was just overall better. I was never fond of the character of Bella. However, after reading this book from the series, I saw her in a different light. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the first two books, or to just anyone really. All different kinds of people who like different kinds of books seem to enjoy this series.
