Four little kittens prepare a gift for mother's day. Their mama is the best, and they want to give her beautiful flowers that she'll love as much as they love her. While Oleander's siblings set to work drawing, or crafting, or composing words and songs, this little kitten is uncertain if his pot of plain dirt with seeds will sprout in time. But with a little patience and love, Oleander's gift is just as beautiful as the rest.

This is a book for the art lovers, for the cat lovers, for anyone who thinks creativity and love make the best gifts. I love how the kittens support each other and are curious about each other's project, even though each is doing something very different. It's also cool to see the visual difference in art styles between the water color-based pages and mixed media collages. These kittens get creative with their materials, turning old cans and interesting scraps into pretty flowers. No fancy materials are required to be an artist!

Pick this up for a story that inspires joy, love, and a desire to create.
