Going Too Far

Note: Going Too Far has "bits" in it, so it's probably most suitable for those sixteen and up. Heck, even eighteen and up wouldn't be pushing it.

Alright, so let's just make this clear: novels based solely on romance is definitely not my bread and butter. Going Too Far is a very "cute" story, but just not my thing. It was all a little predictable and while in some cases it's fine, this is not it. The transitions were a tad awkward and didn't flow properly, and just felt really chunky. It's great to have surprises to twist up the plot, but a bit of foreshadowing could suffice.


Despite its shortcomings, I still thinks that it was a very sweet story about two individuals learning to let go of the past. If you like romances, then go ahead and try it out and see what you think.

I absolutely LOVED this book and I have no idea why. The story is highly unbelievable and I didn't really find any of the characters truly likeable, but for some reason, I just couldn't put this done. Definitely a recommended read, especially good for the beach or a long trip.

Green-haired Meg goes a step too far when she and her friends go on
the forbidden bridge that is rumored to have been the death site of a
girl and her boyfriend many years ago. As a result, instead of going to
Miami for spring break, Meg must spend a week with Officer After.
Officer After plans to teach Meg the consequences her actions will have
and learn why Meg must rebel. All Meg wants to know, however, is why a
nineteen-year-old decided to be a police officer in their small Alabama
town, rather than getting out. Both John After and Meg will push each
others limits to find out the answers they are searching for.

Going Too Far is a provocative novel that will leave readers wanting more from Jennifer Echols. Told in Megs perspective, Going Too Far
gives readers an inside look into Meg. Readers learn that, far from
Megs rebellious exterior, the real Meg is just an ordinary insecure
teen trying to come to grips with life. John After will immediately be
loved by readers. He is definitely swoon-worthy. 
Like Meg, readers will also want to know why John decided not to leave
the small town. Meg and John may seem like an unlikely pairing at
first, but after reading Going Too Far readers will believe that they are a perfect match.

One of the things I liked most about Going Too Far was the
amount of depth Echols put into a novel that is mostly romantic. I
seriously do not think I have read another romantic story with such
depth. Readers will feel their heartstrings pulling while reading this
novel. Its that good! While Going Too Far did have some non-bothersome predictable parts, the parts I did not guess were simply amazing.

If you are looking for a romantic coming-of-age novel or just a good book in general, then I recommend Going Too Far.

     Going Too Far is an amazing story by Jennifer Echols.  Meg's the only blue-haired bad girl in a small Alabama town who is leaving as soon as she can.  Johnafter is the town's youngest police officer and at nineteen, he should have left already.  So what happens when an unstoppable force (Meg) meets and unmovable object (Johnafter)?  Sparks fly, of course.

     This book is simply stunning.  By the end of the book, all loose ends are tied up.  The only thing you're left wondering is 'What became of suchandso character?'  You will end up caring for the characters in this story - well, save for two for two of them.  Each character has a motive and a 100% thought out personality.
  
    This one of my favorite books I've read this year and it deserves award upon award!

READ THIS BOOK! Okay, having said that, I'll tell you why. This book is absolutely addicting! I could not put it down for anything, it was that good. Meg is an interesting character who has had a traumatic past that has caused her to push the limits. John, now one of my favorite love interests of all time, causes her to evolve and look at life from another perspective. This is one of those books that I won't forget about and am going to press onto every reader I know. I was disappointed to learn however, that this is Echols first book that isn't a Simon Pulse romantic comedy! I'll be anxiously awaiting her next book...!! 20 out of 10 stars. Going Too Far is not to be missed!!

Ok, this was officially my favorite Jennifer Echols book yet! I absolutely loved it! I actually wish it was longer, with everything going on in the plot, MANY more pages would've kept me interested and loving every sentence. Going Too Far was very well written and had an intense plot. The story as a whole was very strong, but had humorous parts along with twists and turns along the way.

All the characters were real and weren't flawless which is part of what made it such an amazing book. From page one, you see all the characters, particularily Meg and John grow and work on overcoming those flaws. I absolutely loved Meg's character. When you first start reading, all you see is this blue-haired, punk girl, and as you read you find out there's much more to the attitude and appearance. John's another character from the first page he's introduced, you just fall for him.

I honestly don't know what else to say, Going Too Far had everything going for it a good book should have! Definately go grab yourself a copy!
