“Habitats” by Hannah Pang, illustrated by Isobel Lundie, takes readers on a journey from rainforests to deserts, oceans, mountains, springs, and more. Readers will learn not only about different locations and specific places around the globe, but also about the animals that inhabit these spots. The illustrations will entice readers to continue to flip the pages, instilling a sense of wonder and amazement as they learn more and more about the creatures, plants, and other items that take up space on Earth.

There are interesting facts, including how rainforests cover only a tiny fraction of Earth, yet they are home to more than half of all plant and animal life. Also, although rain rarely falls and there is not much in terms of rivers that flow, there are plenty of creatures that survive in the desert on plants. It is satisfying to learn that these plants not only provide foods, but also shelter while in the desert.

This beautiful book will leave readers in awe of the constant surprises that nature, animals, and interesting settings can elicit.
