Hmmm...
I picked this book up at the library randomly, even though I already had a pretty big stack, because I just couldn't look away from the cover. Yes, I know, judging a book by its cover again, but it was beautiful. And the title was intriguing.
I read the whole thing the very same day. It's that short. The chapter's are short, and there aren't more than 200 pages. The book is almost too short...
I don't know what I had been expecting, but this story was uncomfortable to read. Fred and Adina are twins, and Alex (the main character) befriends them after moving to a new town. Her parents are divorced and the distance is causing a strain on the relationship with her best friend. Alex and Fred are a cute little couple, but then Adina comes along and...not so much anymore.
The whole time you're thinking how there's something going on between the twins, something not right. Or, at the very least, there's something wrong with Adina. But in the end, it just ends. Nothing really gets resolved and the book is over. I thought maybe (for some odd reason) it was going to turn into a series, but I think if the book was going to turn into a series, the next would have been published by now.
So, for now, it's just kind of disappointing and confusing when you reach the end of the book.
