HOLLYWOOD VS. THE GALAXY by Lin Oliver & Henry Winkler is the third (and final?) book of their series Alien Superstar which follows Buddy Burger and his rise to stardom after escaping his home planet. After Citizen Cruel failed to capture Buddy, the Supreme Leader is left with no other choice than to travel to Earth to make sure Buddy returns for his punishment. Buddy is working on his sitcom unaware of the danger that is coming for him and his friends.

What I Enjoyed:
I really enjoy the humor in these books. There is plenty to laugh at mixed in with the mystery and suspense surrounding the Supreme Leader. This book wraps up Buddy's story nicely while still delivering a fun, upbeat tale. Found family is a strong theme here as Buddy discovers how important his friends are and how they have cared for him during his time on Earth.

There is also a lot of action as Buddy tries to uncover what is happening on set. His friends are acting strangely as the Supreme Leader works his special brand of mind control on them. This drives the plot as Buddy's identity is at risk of being discovered, and his show is on the verge of being canceled. Everything Buddy holds dear is put on the line and makes him question if he should return home to his grandmother and the start of a revolution. While this is Buddy's final adventure, the authors have left the ending open for more. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Final Thoughts: Thrilling and full of laughs, HOLLYWOOD VS. THE GALAXY delivers a well-timed ending to Buddy's story that will have readers begging for more.
