Killing Mr Griffen is a compelling novel. Mr. Griffen is a hard teacher, and doesn't ever give A's, because nothing is ever perfect in his eyes. Mark, a boy who flunked Mr Griffen's class once, and is forced to re-do his class comes up with the crazy plot of kidnapping their teacher. Mark drags four other of his peers into this crazy idea. What started out as just a harmless kidnapping to show Mr. Griffen what they think of him ends up as a murderer.

I think that Killing Mr Griffen was an excellent read. Although it has a sort of unlikely plot (where five teenagers kidnapp their teacher) you get so into the book that you feel like you are assisting the crime. I think that there could've been a better setting to this book instead of New Mexico, but the setting is important, as it helps them hide the body of their teacher. The book starts off as a typical school day at school, and at the end of the book turns out as a tradgity.
