A rather quick read with a quick solve, King and Kayla told from the perspective of the dog, King, will excite readers with the quick-to-solve mystery and the wildly excitable pup, this will be a great read for chapter book level readers—and those transitioning into it.
King is an effervescent dog with an excited character. He’s also a detective, along with his human Kayla, but first, she has to go to school.
Kayla comes home from school with plans to show King her newly-missing tooth. But it’s not in the tooth pillow, and she knows she put it there. So where is it, and why does her friend's hand smell like her tooth?
King and Kayla solve this mystery rather quickly with King doing most of the work while causing a little mischief.
Young readers will enjoy solving this mystery with King and will be kept engaged by the brightly colored accompanying drawings.
The font is not cumbersome and the paragraphs are nicely spread apart for easier reading.
With less than ten chapters, a lot goes on, and it’s mostly all fun.
Get ready to embark on fun adventures for children, with King and Kayla while they solve innocent and kid-friendly thrilling mysteries.
