Living Violet is not just another run of the mill paranormal. Reed gives us a smart and at times hilarious heroine who doesn't wait for others to help her out. Samara Marshall is independent and not one to fall in love with just anyone. When hot Caleb flashes his gorgeous violet eyes her way, Samara doesn't gravel at his feet like other women do. Well, not at first.
I love Samara's tenacity and her way of looking at her world. The writing at times is fast-paced with great dialogue exchanges especially between Samara and her friends. Some parts are kind of predictable like the revelation of who Caleb is but I still found myself captivated by Samara and her growing attraction to Caleb.
Living Violet gives readers a new heroine to cheer for. The ending left me breathless and wanting to know more. A paranormal with an intriguing twist that will leave readers wanting to know what happens next.
