MAKE TRACKS: BUILDING SITE is a delightful and interactive board book that introduces trucks to young readers. Each page spread features a type of construction vehicle to the reader, labeling the parts with a path on the facing page for children to drive the paper truck along. The book includes questions for extra learning, such as asking for the color of a part or counting the number of buildings or cars on the page. The tracks on each spread are unique with plenty of details to explore as they move the trucks along.

What I loved: This was such a great and interactive book for little ones. There is plenty for them to learn about trucks as they explore the components and tasks of key trucks. The addition of a play element where they can push a paper truck around with their fingers through the paths is really clever and makes it quite fun. The book also offers tasks for their trucks, sometimes asking them to take them to specific places along the paths. Each page spread is colorful and includes lots of details, making this a book they can explore on their own or with a caregiver.

The font is clear and easy to read throughout. Simple phrases and questions will work well for toddlers through young elementary school readers and keep them engaged throughout. Whether children are already fans of trucks or not, this interactive board book will have plenty of appeal!

Final verdict: MAKE TRACKS: BUILDING SITE is an interactive and entertaining board book that teaches young children about construction vehicles. Used for reading or play, this one is sure to be a hit!
