What I loved:
The plot was different from anything that I have read before. This story is told from the POV of Ana and Viktor, and both POV’s were easy to follow. Ana is an empathy that can see the life energies of others and know what they’re feeling and her and Viktor are linked in a way that will come out as the story unfolds. The side characters are really well developed and added to the plot. The main characters evolved throughout the story and their relationships were believale and interesting. The writing and editing were top notch and there were no glaring mistakes that took my attention away from the story.
What I didn’t love:
The book was a little slow moving until around the 20% mark or so, when it really started to pick up. There was a lot to learn about this world, and the author did a great job of not dumping all of the information on you at once, so it took a little bit to fully understand everything that was happening and what the motivations of all of the characters and groups were.
My Final Verdict:
This was a great book and this author really knows how to draw you into the story and make you care about the characters and what happens to them. It has something for everyone- romance, action, mystery and great villains!
