This is a pretty short book, but what it lacks in length, it makes up for in warmth. It's about a girl Summer, who parents died when she was six. After being passed around from relative to relative, her aunt May and uncle Ob take her and give her the best home. When Summer is 12, May passes away and the book details how Summer and Ob try to go on living without her. A boy of Summer's age, Cletus, enters their life when May exits and they learn about living and loving and going on after someone close to you in gone. A truly good book.
