Review Detail

Mosquitoland by David Arnold is now one of my favorite books and the best I've read in a long, long while. All of the characters are so real and if not relatable, then understandable. Everybody has their own story and voice to add to this odd journey of Mim's, who is trying to reach Cleveland from Mississippi (dubbed by Mim as 'Mosquitoland') to find her mom and escape from her Dad's new family. I also find it refreshing that there isn't any romance in this; there are friendships.
