When Adrienne Willis' daughter starts letting her grief over losing her husband rule her life, she decides it is time. She must tell her her own story if love and loss. This story involves a chance meeting at a small inn in coastal North Carolina that changes her life forever. When Adrienne met Paul Flanner, she didn't plan to fall in love. But in one weekend, true love blossomed between the two. They learn that not all fairy tales have a happy ending.

I am a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks' writing so I might be a little biased. I really enjoyed reading this  book. It was deep and moving. Sparks captures the characters emotions impeccably. If you liked any of Sparks' other novels, you will eat this one up. Fans of romance will also love this novel. I highly recommend it.

I really wanted to like this book and it's a nice read, but too quick. The characters are not developed enough to really get invested in them. After her husband leaves her for a younger woman, Adrienne, mother of three, goes and watches her friends in for her. There is only one booking (it is in reality closed, but he offers double booking price), Paul. He is a man who decides to change his life after he realizes it has been taking a downward spiral for a while. In the 5 days they are at the inn, they fall in love and believe that they love and understand eachother more than anyone else. They both teach the other about acceptance, love, and moving on. It just fell flat for me. If he would have delved more into their characters, it would have rung truer and had more of an effect, but this book just skims the surface of what could have been a pretty great book.

Nights in Rodanthe is exactlly what you'd expect from a Nick Sparks book, pure romance. The bok follows two people in the later midlife. They have a chance meeting at a bed and breakfast in Rodanthe, North Carolina and over the course of a weekend slowly fall in love.
Then again like a classic Nick Sparks book, a terrible tragidy happens to tear them apart forever.

This book is really sweet and romantic while not being mushy and gross. Any girl would like it.
