Review Detail

Hope Shay, born Bernadette Romano, is an actress and quite the character. Throughout the book, I developed a love/hate relationship with Hope. In some ways I could relate to her, so I guess that’s where the love part comes from. Overall, Hope Shay is a piece of work. She acts, she sings, she falls in love with a senior (while being a sophomore) and she has an attitude.

I absolutely LOVED this book. This was a choice read for me and I picked it because Hope’s an actress. I love acting. Anyway, at first this was a little hard to get through because of some boring parts.. But once you get into the story and develop feelings for the characters, I promise you’ll love it. I do warn though, that there is a BIG plot twist towards the end, and when I got to that part I felt like jumping out of a window. Seriously, it felt like all the time I spent on reading the book was a waste. But I guess I was turning into a second Hope because I was being way to dramatic. In the end I loved it. You have to be a really talented writer to make me want to jump out of window. :P

This book is a MUST read. There are some semi-inappropriate parts, so I would suggest this to girls (and maybe guys) 12+. I HOPE you read it. Heh, get it? Hope.. :P
