This is a really fun book to read. The dictionary in the back helps a lot. I was reluctant to read it at first, but i'm glad I did. Now I want to read the other three. My favorite part was how Georgia and her friends would call kissing snogging and how each level of kissing had a number. This was a great book.

In 3 words, I would say that this book is So Much Fun!! Definately the best in the series. Being a teenager myself, i would say it is so humourous and realistic!

Louise Rennison's 'On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God' is escapist fiction in it's truest form. It doesn't probe the deep angst of living as a teenager in today's world as other authors such as James Howe or Louis Sacher might. Rennison's Georgia Nicolson is the Bridget Jones in the world of teenaged girls, and her trials and tribulations capture the lighter side of being a teenaged girl.

In the second instalment of Georgia's saga, Rennison continues to explore Georgia's mad little world and it's cast of equally mad characters. She's on a mission to make the Sex God jealous, she's exploring alternate religions (her own brand of Buddism), her mother is flirting yet again as Vati is recovering in New Zealand, Libby still thinks Georgia is a half-girl, half-cat, and Angus is in love.

By the conclusion of Georgia's latest instalment there is already another looming, leaving the reader hungry to experience the next adventure.

Complete with a Georgia-speak to American dictionary in the back, 'On The Bright Side ...' is laugh out loud funny, a great read if one's looking to unwind at the end of a hard day, and recommended beach reading for teen girls on their summer vacation. A+!

British writer Louise Rennison has written the sequel to her much beloved Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging. In Rennison's latest book, On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God, fourteen year-old Georgia goes through self-help books, hair removers, self-tanners, and Buddhism. Georgia is now dating the "Sex God," but not without incident.

First, her parents are planning to move to New Zealand (Kiwi-a gogo land), which will keep them apart. Secondly, the Sex God is having second thoughts about their relationship. He feels Georgia is a bit too young for him since he's nearly eighteen. Georgia goes on a mission to prove to him how mature she is and tries tactics such as dating another guy to make him jealous. In a short span, Georgia manages to turn her legs bright orange, become a Dalai Lama follower, all while juggling two guys, her enormous cat and her pooey-knickered little sister who thinks Georgia is her pet cat.

Rennison manages to tap into the insecurity and emotion that all teens face. She handles each situation with humor and insightful observations. On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God is incredibly entertaining and wildly funny. If you enjoyed Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging you'll love Rennison's sequel.
