Review Detail

Paddington is a widely loved bear, and his stories are also beloved by all types of readers. I, sadly, never read about Paddington as a child and definitely missed out! Reading this was a great experience as a young adult, and I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to read as a child.

What I Loved:

By the first page I was clearly able to understand why the books are so widely popular. Not only are the illustrations so detailed, vivid, and beautiful, but combined with the story- they make reading this such a delightful experience.

I was able to read this with Julian, a 5 year old I babysit and he absolutely adored it. He's a huge reader (already), but is extremely picky with his books and he devoured this one! We've read it several times already. The illustrations practically jump off the page and we'd often be looking at the tiniest details we could find before turning each page.

Final Verdict:

Paddington at the Circus, as well as other books about this lovable bear, is a MUST READ. As a girl who spends a lot of time with very young readers, I can easily tell which types of books would be loved by specific kids- but this one is definitely for everyone. It packs a lot into one book (illustrations and the story), but in the best way possible. Highly recommend!
