I'm a huge fan of paranormal romances and PROPHECY GIRL is that and so much more. First off I totally fell in love with the voice. Amelia Bennett is a demon hunter who would eat Buffy the Vampire Slayer for breakfast. Her voice is hilarious with just enough snark and humor to keep you wanting to follow her anywhere. I know she did with me!

The world building is amazing too. I loved the descriptions throughout especially 'splooge' which is what's left over after a demon slaying. There's werewolves, watchers, portals, and of course the whole bonding between a slayer and her Watcher. Here the future of Guardians depends on whether or not they bond with a Watcher by graduation.

Then there is Jackson, her trainer. Once they touch, sparks literally go off. The chemistry between these two is intense and the barbs go flying. Even though others try to keep them apart, it seems they can't stop being around each other. Add to that the prophecy that might be holding Amelia and Jackson apart.

The other characters are equally great like the vamp Luc, Jackson's so-called cousin whose own sass matches hers; Lisa, her BFF; Bud, her father, who might be holding his own secrets, and the school Angel Academy.

The humor and underlying pokes at some popular Pop references are engaging without going over the top to being too campy. Fast-paced action along with mystery also add to the charm of this novel.

Punchy dialogue with one kick ass heroine that takes readers on a whirlwind adventure that you don't want to end.

Good Points
1. Amazing voice with just enough snark/humor to have you smiling
2. Great world building
3. Great chemistry between Amelia and Jack
