Running Loose by Chris Crutcher was honestly THE best book i have ever read. I'm 14, if you're looking for an age appropriate for reading it. I reccomend this book for any teenager, and more so for a teen in a relationship. You'll see why. The main character, Louie, is faced with some really tough situations. The reason why i loved this book so much is because of how real the issues were. Its stuff that happens to all of us and we can really relate to it. If I learned one thing from reading Running Loose, it was to never take anything for granted because you really don't know what you have til its gone.

I recently read Running Loose by Chris Crutcher. This story is about a high school senior, Louie. He has friends who are popular", starts on the football team, and a good looking girlfriend, Becky. Louies near perfect life suddenly spirals out of control when he gets thrown off the football team for arguing with his coach, banned from playing any school sports, and suspended from school. Just as it seems everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, another tragedy strikes involving his girlfriend, Becky. The rest of the story is about how he gets his life together. I enjoyed this story because of all the unexpected twists that add to the excitement of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sports books.
