Well, this was quite a surprise. I don't believe the other books had this effect on me while I was reading them. The opening few chapters didn't grab me right away and there were some grammatical errors that were a little off-putting at times, but they didn't turn me off. As I read on, I found the characters compelling. Nora and Patch have both developed well. Their connection was more believable than it was in the other books. I found this book grabbed my focus more and the more I read, the more I wanted to read on and find out what was happening.

The story panned out rather well. Some predictable incidents but also some unexpected twists, particularly towards the end. I thought Nora brushed off the whole memory loss incident with far too much ease. She didn't seem as conflicted with the idea of not knowing what had happened to her for so many weeks as she should have been.

Overall, I really enjoyed the read. It was refreshing. Am I encouraged to read the fourth book? After that, yes. I want to find out how it turns out for Nora and Patch. I sense some dark times ahead.

In the beginning I as kind of annoyed because it just seemed like a summary of the first 2 books, but the more I read the better it got and eventually I couldn't put it down. I'm really excited that there is going to be another book, because there are so many loose ends! I still love Patch!

This was a surprise. I liked the first and the second books very much, but this was, I feel, the best so far. I connected with this book more than I did with the others. I felt the characters have developed well and the chemistry was strong between Nora and Patch. They came alive more. There were some great unexpected twists, which made me want to read on. I'll definitely be reading the fourth book. It was an enjoyable read.

This series is amazing, will hook you instantly!
Good Points
WOW! I, as most everyone else who LOVES this series, has been anxiously awaiting this book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a 4th book was added to the series but it left me wondering how Silence would play out.

As the book starts, we again meet Hank, but in a slightly different setting. In a grave yard with Patch, we learn a little bit about what happened where Crescendo left off. I found it a bit difficult to get into the beginning of the book, strictly based on the fact that it did not start out as I expected it to, but as I dove deeper into the story, Becca once again sucked me into the her dark and beautiful world.

Becca's 3rd installment in this series did little to disappoint me. I was hooked on every word, as Nora is faced with learning more and more about her biological father, and just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Nora is forced to face difficult decisions about who she is, and what her role in the larger picture will be, all the while knowing her only real want in life is to be with Patch (and honestly who could blame her!).

I loved the way Becca wove her secondary characters into the story, Scott, Vee, Marcie, Darbia, Nora's mom Blyth and Detective Basso all play a role in keeping the mystery of how this story will eventually end and left me wondering what roles will each of these characters play in the end of this wonderfully beautiful story.

Becca has once again created a beautiful story full of mystery, suspense and love. I can only imagine what surprises Becca has in store for us in her next installment of this wonderfully addictive story!

Well, well, well. I think the summary of this novel might give you a slight different expectation than what actually happens in Silence, especially for a good majority of the book. I read in other reviews that Patch wasn't in the first half of the book and alas, it's true. I was worried about it because I've fallen deeply in lust with Patch and I was afraid it wouldn't be the same without him, but Silence actually moved really well without him and I was completely engrossed in what was going on, though every once in a while I'd be tempted to flip forward to catch a glimpse of him. Of course, he shows up midway through the book...

As per usual, Nora rarely listens to anyone throughout the book and continues to put herself in bad situations. I think a lot of the action depends upon Nora doing something dumb. Sometimes if she stayed put like she's told, she could save herself a world of trouble.

Overall, Silence was good, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting... especially since it's been announced there is now going to be a fourth book and I thought it was a trilogy. I'm not upset by it though, I'm excited, because there were some interesting developments towards the end of the book. I'm just not sure I find Nora a believable character to pull off these interesting developments... Hopefully there will be some believable growth in the next book.

Sorry this review is a little vague. I don't really want to give any spoilers away. Overall, if you've read the first two books and liked them, you'd benefit from reading this. Some people loved it, some people were disappointed, so I think there's a 50/50 chance. I wasn't as disappointed as some of the others, I liked it. But I'm easy to please when Patch is involved.

I could NOT wait to read this book but once I had it in my hands I wanted to read it as slowly as possible. Why? Well, because when author, Becca Fitzpatrick announced the other day that there is going to be a 4th book in the "Hush Hush" series I knew it would be at least another YEAR before I would get my Patch fix again and that's a long time to wait. Like torturously long and I wanted to savor as much Patch as I could. Can you really blame me? ;)

There was sooo much heart racing excitement at the end of "Crescendo" that I expected "Silence" to pick up right where it left off, in Patch's shed or Jev as we found out was his true name, (Honestly, I don't care what he calls himself, as long as he calls. Wink. Wink.) but it doesn't. It actually picks up three months later in a cemetery where Nora has woken up without a clue as to where she is, what day it is or how she got there. Oh yeah, and she has no memory of the past five months of her life either. What?! She's told that she was kidnapped and most likely her amnesia is a result of the trauma. Who took her and where?! What kind of trauma?! (For the record, the most traumatic thing for me would be NOT remembering Patch! I mean, seriously, how could one NOT remember those eyes, those lips, those wing scars...oh, sorry, I got distracted for a second.)

Nora presses those around her, her Mom, Vee, her doctor, for clues, answers, anything to help her rebuild her memory but they aren't much help and Patch is nowhere to be found. Who is Patch anyway? Why does that name ring a bell to her? Whenever she hears someone mention it, a flood of feelings comes back but no memories...why? Who was he and what did he mean to her? (Um, here's a hint...he tried to kill you, but it was just once...still nothing? OK, well, he's the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE!)

She has flashes of memories but can't seem to put the pieces together to form one coherent puzzle. The only thing she has to go on are her feelings. When she's around certain people, she gets weird vibes that seem to tell her, memory or no memory, something.is.up. Take her Mom's new boyfriend for example, Hank Millar, he's the father of her long time nemesis, Marcie (who happens to be acting nice to her which is creepin' her out - (we don't trust her as far as we can throw her) but there are other things about him Nora can't explain. Why does he look so young? Why is he dating her Mom anyway?

Scott Parnell shows up again too, claiming that they know each other and he's the one who bought Nora her car. She's suspicious at first but that's because she doesn't remember him beyond elementary school. (Scotty the Potty - snort) Then there's the hot new stranger, Jev. (Yum-my!) He's come to her aid several times already and there's no denying the electricity between the two but he continues to deny having met her before and she's not so sure she should believe him.

Things only begin to get stranger as Nora's flashes or what she believes are hallucinations come more frequently. She begins to realize the world around her and some of the people in it are not what they seem. She also discovers that her memory loss was no accident.

As "Silence" progresses and the silence in Nora's life grows, we find out there is a battle brewing and she's at the center of it. Oaths are sworn and deals are made that cannot be broken. A destiny has been chosen for her, one she never asked for or wanted and choices will have to be made, ones that could alter her future forever. How is she to survive without her memory and without Patch? What happened to their love? What happened to him? Wasn't he supposed to protect her? Nora will learn that sometimes what we're looking for most can't be found in the search itself, but can only be found in the silence that follows.

Okay, so let me recap on how I came to be so incredibly and irreversibly obsessed with Patch Cipriano. I bought Hush Hush at Wal-Mart about a year ago after the cover caught my eye from the 'discount' bin. It was just after Crescendo was released and they were snuggled up together. I had never read a fallen angel story so was intrigued. The rest, as they say, is history. I was totally team Patch, hook, line, and sinker!

Becca Fitzpatrick left Crescendo with a major cliff-hanger so my fellow Hush Hush fans and I were all left on the edge of seats with a barely concealed scream of frustration...What happened?!?!!? A year later and Silence comes to the rescue.

Silence opens with a prologue that I read during my 'lunch hour' at the day job that was so awesome I was watching the clock for the rest of the day so I could read on in the privacy of my home. When I finally got down and dirty with some reading I could not put it down. Well, not entirely true since I did have to go to work the next day. As much as I would like, reading does not pay the bills.

The story immediately pulls you in by the nose and you are horror-struck with the sickening realization...Nora does not remember Patch! WTH! Her memory of the past five months is gone! Kaput! Nada! Zilch! Nothing!

Nora, being the endearingly yet infuriating trouble magnet, begins her mission to find out what happened the last several weeks of her life and what she was forced to forget. Was it due to trauma or something more sinister? And why is it whenever she is around the mysteriously irresistible Jev does the blackness seem to caress her? Oi!

Silence is a roller coaster of powerful emotion and non-stop tooth gnashing trying to follow Nora on her quest of info. Becca's use of words was phenomenal and the way she brings you into Nora's head is wonderful. Nora is terribly conflicted yet driven. Patch is still dangerously seductive, and believe me ladies, you will not be able to keep from fanning yourself. He is such a volatile character you cannot help but go to puddy when he slinks near.

The stakes are getting high in Silence and Nora has a huge job in front of her. Thankfully, Patch is there for her every step of the way. Of course, Miss Becca leaves us chopping at the bit yet again, but I would gladly endure another year of rereading the delish words from Miss Becca.

So do yourself a favor, READ IT NOW! If you have not picked up the Hush Hush saga I daresay you have been doing yourself a terrible disservice. There is a reason this series has hit the coveted NYT Best Sellers list, it is a fantastic read of mystery, suspense, romance, and steamy, sauna-like one liners from the one and only Patch Cipriano.

Did Silence rock my world? Beyond YES! 9.8 on the Richter scale y'all!
