Teamwork and Talents: So Can We! Fox and Goose Celebrates Unique Skills
In So Can We! Fox And Goose, the two animals show off their special skills while the other watches amused. Then a new friend appears with a challenge of what their special skill is, what will Fox and Goose do now?
What I Liked: Fox looks mischievous and Goose looks a bit terrified on this cover which is what drew my attention. I loved that the illustrator managed to capture their personalities in this image. I love that throughout the book you can see their expressions change and that says a lot about their feelings.
I appreciated the way the author teaches us about the skills that foxes and geese have, and I love Fox and Goose’s response to each other's skills. I especially love that Goose is often amazed by Fox’s skills yet Fox is bothered or disgusted by Goose’s skills. The ending is really fun as Fox and Goose work together to copy a skill they learn from a new friend coming through.
Final Verdict: So Can We! Fox and Goose is a cute book showing the different strengths that foxes and geese have. This is a great way to show children how unique strengths can be shared with others and how you can come together to gain new skills.
