Dahlia 16 just found out her whole life is a lie and that she's not a clone after all. The real clone is Waverly Whitmore, a wealthy teenage royalty star. After Dahlia and Trigger try to escape Lakesview, she is mistaken for Waverly. She then is forced to portray Waverly while seeking to tell the others back in Lakeview that their whole lives were based on a lie.

What worked: This is an amazing Sci-fi dystopia with an unique twist on the whole 'clone' premise. In this world Dahlia finds out that the 'real' clone is in fact a wealthy teen. Dahlia is forced to be Waverly after she's mistaken for her. This is where readers get a glimpse into the world of the wealthy few who can purchase a clone and also the harsh realty of those who are in fact servants. There's also a cruel truth with clones. A truth that Waverly is unaware of.

I really loved this story. Dahlia is courageous and fights back against the injustices in this dystopian society. I liked the chemistry between her and Trigger and wanted more of their romance.

Waverly at first comes across as a privileged brat, but once she finds out the 'truth' behind her own existence, she suddenly sees the injustices of her life. She warms up to the clones around her to the point of doing her own experiment. Her story arcs when she comes to the conclusion she either must continue to be silent or speak out. Doing this has it's own consequences and might end her celebrity status.

Fast-paced suspenseful dystopian tale with an unique twist. The world of the haves and have nots are shown and challenged by those who were meant to be subservient. Double kuddos for the twist on this story too.
