The Channeler is the first book in a new YA fantasy series written by William H. Kline IV.

Tommy, the protagonist in the story, is a likeable, relatable, yet imperfect character that matures
throughout the course of the book as he learns about this new world of magic that he has unwittingly been thrown into.

This was an enjoyable book to read for me and I am now enjoying reading it a second time with my daughter. The book has a lot of personal responsibility themes throughout the book that have been great conversation starters with my child.

YA fantasy is my favorite genre to read for pleasure. I would put this at the top of my list of recommendations for others who are fans of the genre. The author has an exciting story line that will have you hooked by the first chapter and leave you wishing the next book was available...like right now!
Good Points
The author is a creative story teller, with an entertaining sense of humor.
